Father, is that really Tony Blair, or are you "having us on," as the Brits say? :)
Even if it isn't the former PM, it's a very nice performance. In 1989, I was fortunate enough to appear in a performance of Messiah featuring members of the Choir of All Saints Episcopal Church in Pawleys Island, SC and members of the Charleston Symphony. I had a wonderful time. Back then I sang in the tenor section of the chorus. Today I'd probably have to sing in the bass section. Can't hit the high ones like I used to :)
The Messiah is perfect music (and as a music snob, I would say it's pretty simple)- I think the best way to do the Messiah is with the entire audience as the chorus!
