Homosexual Episcopal Priests Ordered to Marry

I remember when the idea of 'homosexual marriage' was first mooted, my father in law (the dry Englishman that he is) commented, "I suppose it is okay as long as they don't make it mandatory."

Now that it is legal in New York for two people of the same gender to 'marry' each other the Episcopal bishop has ordered his homosexual and lesbian priests who are cohabiting to marry their 'partner'. Whaat so they won't be living in sin??

Thus the lunacy continues. You can read about it (if you have the stomach) here.  When things get this crazy the only thing to do is laugh. A good piece to help you do this which is about same sex marriage can be found over at Acts of the Apostacy. Go here.

  1. wow! It is so disordered- but 'at least' the bishops are making a move to some kind of 'chastity'

  2. PW - I wish I could be as optimistic as you are. The homosexual 'married' couples that I know have told me that they have an 'open' marriage. In other words, they grant each other the freedom to go out and cruise the gay clubs on the weekends if they want.

We need to understand that the homosexual movement is not just re-defining marriage to include two people of the same sex marrying--they are also doing away with fidelity, chastity--the works.

  3. The funny part, in my mind, is the bishop will inevitably lose a few clergy and parishioners for being too...conservative.

  4. Well.. at least there's some semblence of Christianity in requiring that. It makes sense to require homosexuals who claim to have traditional values to embrace them, in their way.
    Ah, what a mess.

  5. Father, I have to ask: How many "homosexual 'married' couples" do you personally know? I mean, more specifically, how many do you know well enough that they are apt to relate their sexual habits to you? I'm curious, since in your reply to Priest's Wife you've used your own first-hand knowledge of such couples in an attempt to portray gay married couples as less monogamous than straight married couples.

  6. Thank you for the link, Father!

May I humbly point out, however, that there is no 'c' in "Apostasy"...

  7. I have no idea how many gay couples Father might know, he is after all a priest who counsels and meets ordinary and extra-ordinary people - however I concur with his statement. Most of the gay couples I know either have open relationships or at least one of them acts out secretly, the really open relationships share their prey. Even the aging couples do this, thanks to viagra. It is an aspect of the lifestyle not usually discussed.

As for the semblance of Christian morality in asking couples to marry - that is exactly how evil becomes acceptable and the true faith is undermined.

  8. This is one of those times words fail me...

Let me steal a quote from your blogsite on this one Father "Bury me on my head, for very soon this world will be turned upside down."

  9. I think that we went crazier than Sodom and Gomorrah - and we know what happened to them!

  10. Let's see.... There is a "deadline".... but no one will be "disciplined" for not complying.

Of course, it could simply be incompetent reportage.

LOL! Didn't that didn't happen 500 years ago under Henry VIII?
